Air

Air is a theory that says that an empty bag or room actually contains a substance called air. Air, in theory, is invisible, odorless, tasteless, and unable to be detected, so there is no proof that air exists. According to these beliefs, our bodies have "lungs" that supposedly "breathe" air, and air is vital to life on Earth. Obviously, the majority of the population regards air as a "mere myth, just like global warming or UFOs" as they are constantly dumping pollution into the atmosphere. The picture to the left is a computer-generated image of what scientists believe air may look like.

Tony Hawk, the Self-claimed "Discoverer of Air"

Being invisible, scientists have tried all possible ways to view air, from high-magnification microscopes to 3D glasses. They were on the verge of giving up hope in the existence of air, when they were informed that a scientist by the name of Tony Hawk had discovered a way to "catch some air." He used a skateboard and jumped off a really big ramp, and the result was catching air.

Professor Hawk took many scientific notes while observing air that he had caught (see pic). The other scientists wanted to get their hands on these notes. They visited Hawk and tried to talk reason with him, but Hawk had become so fascinated by skateboarding, he had become a skater and was now ignorant and had lost the papers. In other words, the discovery of air had been tossed in the trash.
